Chevron flooring is one of the most elegant and classic patterns for floors. With chevron patterned floors the shortest edges of the planks meet in a center line (Other than heringbone, wich is in the last image). I experienced that a room with this flooring will look good no matter what you do to it. Its such a strong and still subtle, unagitated base.
Here you see the heringbone pattern. Also a classic, however it is more common than chevron flooring (although not in black, which looks fantastic).
