PEDER SEVERIN KROYER (1851-1909), was a norwegian-danish painter. The painting captures the TRANQUILITY of a sunday in July, at NOON, when the day is at its HOTTEST and you can only sit in the shades of an old tree and drink LEMONADE and eat curd with strawberries.
